St. Francis Parish Group in Mongu, Zambia

Based in Malengwa and part of the Mongu Diocese, members of the parish are seeking additional knowledge to improve their quality of lives. Members live on less than $2 USD per day. They face struggles in their daily lives due to the seasonality of their main sources of food and income: rice and fish. They would like to participate in workshops to learn business and life skills knowledge. The group aims to promote the economic empowerment and sustainability of the group, their community and nation at large. In 2011, WGC was able to secure funding for two new businesses.
