A morning of awareness for future connections and partnerships
- Sustainable Global Social Responsibility
- Sharing Knowledge with local and global organizations
- Sustainable Programs that plan to transform as they move into the future
Our goal is to create a conversation to discuss the social obligations organizations have to plan for sustainability and to maximize their efforts to improve their local and global community. Faculty and
students are invited to join in an interactive dialogue with our guest panelists, to become aware of the need for future partnerships as away of accomplishing social entrepreneurial efforts.

WGC executives Tere Dresner-Salinas and Lisa Uribe-Kozlovsky, and San Antonio NGO executive volunteer Zuani Villarreal traveled to Peru from November 28 to December 13, 2011. Once there, they met with Incarnate Word Missionary and WGC field staff member Kyle Seymour who completed their Immersion Trip Team.
The team's primary purpose was to continue the development and formalization of the women’s group Pushaq Warmi...
and also to continue general capacity building in the greater Chimbote area.
The team held many workshops:
Over 200 women were trained in the various groups: Pushaq Warmi, Casa del Refugio, Sembrando Infancia, Cambio Puente, Oportunidades Ilimitadas…
They also participated in strategic meetings with leaders in the communities they served, as well as directors of organizations serving women’s groups and leaders of early childhood education schools.
Some of the meetings held were with:
Casa del Refugio
The Immersion Trip volunteers thoroughly enjoyed their visits with women's businesses, the CCVI sisters, associates, and missionaries; and look forward to continuing these collaborations.
